WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Join our talented team at the forefront of groundbreaking developments in battery recycling. Your job is to make sure everything runs smoothly and in line with regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, authority structures/processes, and project management along with a passion for sustainability, environmental protection, and continuous learning.
Please be aware that tozero does not offer any remote (zero remote) - we believe in building a strong culture at this stage of the company, especially with engineers working on-site in the plant and lab.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
In this role, you operate as the interface between business, engineering, authorities, and external service providers (e.g., architects, environmental engineers):
- Ensure full legal compliance with all applicable laws in this scope and specifically in the following areas:
- BImSchG - drive approval procedures according to the Federal Immission Control Act and implementation of resulting obligations
- KrWG - ensure proper disposal of all waste from the site and warehouse as well as obtaining a waste management license
- WHG - organize wastewater disposal and propose solutions to handle substances hazardous to water
- AwSV - classify all our substances as well as production facilities and fulfill the resulting requirements
- REACH - monitor compliance, manage registrations, and assess chemical risks
- BayBO - plan and drive building permits
- Manage multiple projects at the same time, typically involving >15 different stakeholders with conflicting interests
- Assume full responsibility for our planned plant expansion(s) in this regulatory scope
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards for consistency and compliance throughout the organization
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate performance metrics and trends to management and stakeholders
- Plan and supervise internal and external audits, e.g. from authorities, suppliers, certification providers or clients
- You are open to acquiring further qualifications or knowledge that are beneficial both for you and the company
